USDA BioPreferred Certification

Many of our products have been certified as a Preferred USDA biobased product and carry a biobased content label up to 100%. Managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (“USDA”), the goal of the USDA BioPreferred Program is to increase the purchase and use of biobased products since the  increased development, purchase, and use of biobased products reduces our nation’s reliance on petroleum, increases the use of renewable agricultural resources, and contributes to reducing adverse environmental and health impacts. The USDA Certified Biobased label indicates that the product has been certified by USDA and the percent of biobased content is shown on the USDA label.

Under this program, Surflock 2777 has been certified with a 96% biobased content label, EcoSphere biolatex binder 2330, 2202, 2260, have been certified with a 99% biobased content label, EcoSphere biolatex binder 2300, 2336, and 2338, have been certified with a 100% biobased content label, and EcoSphere biolatex binder 2108 has a 98% biobased content label. With these certifications, you can be assured that our products are biobased and we can make a meaningful impact on your carbon footprint.
